That which nourishes me also destroys me.

I'm just honest, I like that I don't have to worry about what I say. I really don't have the time or energy to pretend and I don't want to live that way.

I make it a point not to buy certain magazines, not because I am against tabloids or things like that, but I want to fill my mind with valid issues in the world. I'd like there to be less refugees. I'd like all girls to go to school. That's what we need to be thinking about, and working on making our own families good and strong and our own kids happy. Not to cloud our minds with things that don’t matter.

In countries where people have to flee their homes because of persecution and violence, political solutions must be found, peace and tolerance restored, so that refugees can return home. In my experience, going home is the deepest wish of most refugees.

Usually all my tattoos came at good times. A tattoo is something permanent when you've made a self-discovery, or something you've come to a conclusion about.

Family is what grounds you.

Now they can do all these magic things with computers. So you think you get to do something in a movie and you find out you don't get to really do it.

I want to take time to understand life. I want to travel. I want to be a better person, a better Mom. I want to do something good with my life.

I think it is funny that we were freer about sexuality in the 4th century B.C. It is a little disconcerting.
